In-Person Meetings
Nar-Anon Literature will need to be purchased before your first meeting. Some of these are New Group Packets, Newcomer Packets, Blue Books, SESH Books, etc. Quantities of each should be held to a minimum until your membership grows. These materials can be purchased through the WSO website – WSO Literature
Newcomer Packets are typically given to new members, but the costs of the Blue Book and SESH Book can be recovered from member sales.
Costs associated with printing Meeting flyers should also be considered – these are discussed further under Getting the Word Out to the Public.
If possible, try to avoid a rental-type agreement with the facility providing meeting space. This cost can seem insurmountable if your meeting doesn’t draw a large number of attendees.
At some point, you may want to set up a checking account for the group. Try to work with your bank to avoid monthly charges on the account.

Virtual Meetings
If your group will be hosted by a region of Nar-Anon that has a shared meeting room, you’ll need to request use of the room for your meetings; be sure to provide the exact day, time, and duration. If an agreement is reached, you will want to ask for the typical donation to the region for the use of their virtual meeting space, in keeping with Tradition 7.
If you have to host your own virtual meeting, you’ll need to consider the costs associated with hosting meetings of varying durations and sizes, as most virtual collaboration platforms limit the allotted time and the number of attendees per plan.
If your NFG Group Conscience decides to mail Newcomer Packets, Blue Books, or other pamphlets and bookmarks available for purchase from Nar-Anon’s website, quantities should be kept to a minimum until your membership grows.
