The Lone Star Region (LSR) is committed to carrying the message of hope to those affected by someone else’s addiction. If you would like to start a Nar-Anon Family Group (NFG), start here:
Important Points to Consider
If you have been attending Nar-Anon for a while and would like to start a new meeting, or if there aren’t any meetings in your area and you would like to start a new meeting, it is suggested that you read the following sections first.
Nar-Anon Tradition 2
For our group purposes, there is but one authority — a loving God as He may
express Himself in our group conscience. Our leaders are but trusted servants —
they do not govern.
Nar-Anon Concept 12
In keeping with the spiritual nature of Nar-Anon, our structure should always be one
of service, never of governance.
Resources for Nar-Anon Family Groups (NFG)
Each group is autonomous but still should work within the guidelines of Nar-Anon. Nar-Anon’s Guide to Local Services (GLS) is an important resource for those committing themselves to providing services necessary to carry the message to the families and friends of addicts and may be found at Nar-Anon’s official website under Service Literature/Guides.
